Chief Advisory and Analytic Officer & Assistant Treasurer, IFC - World Bank Group

Couro Kane-Janus is the Chief Advisory & Analytics Officer in the Treasury and Mobilization Vice Presidency at the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Couro is a seasoned professional with 20+ years of investment, valuation and risk analytics. She oversees the Cross-cutting initiatives and Advisory unit and the Treasury Valuation & Analytics team. In that capacity, she is in charge of capacity building and technical assistance activities related to capital markets development and local currency financing fundraising, knowledge management, and operational risk management. She also oversees pricing and valuation functions in Treasury & Mobilization. Couro coordinates the London and Singapore Hubs and specific VPU-wide priorities. Prior to her current position provided advisory support to central banks and sovereign wealth funds on quantitative analysis, asset allocation, investment strategies and related policy matters as part of the World Bank Treasury’s Reserves Advisory & Management Partnership (RAMP) Program.

Prior to joining the World Bank in 2005, Couro worked in the private sector in quantitative research and derivatives pricing.

Couro holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and did her post-graduate research in Control & Dynamical Systems.
